Silver 2002 Toyota RAV4 Base and listen, this thing is like that reliable friend who still shows up even if they're wearing cargo shorts from 2002.

4 speed Automatic with Overdrive, AWD, and powered by a 2.0L I4 SMPI DOHC engine getting 22/27 MPG city/highway. Its simple, its dependable, and honestly its kind of refreshing driving something where you're the technology.

If you know how to drive a stick, you're already cooler than 90% of people on the road. If you don't this might be your origin story.

Please Note: Rear seats are currently missing which makes this RAV4 lighter, faster (emotionally), and perfect for people who don't like backseat drivers literally.

        Great Car!

by Vanz on 4/27/2024 5:19:24 AM

I've had my 2004 toyota for many years. Gone on cross country trips with no problems. It recently hit 198,000 in 2023 and it started giving me issues. I got a check engine light on and two other lights that concerned me. About 2 weeks after the initial lights turned on my car suddenly started staggering. It was the transmission(after many wrong diagnostics). Had to do an overhaul on it and thought everything was fine. The check engine light kept turning on. After a long and frustrating research I found out the PCM was faulty. Had to get that changed. Could of saved myself time and money if only I would have read reviews on KBB faster.

Best in Class from Day 1

        by ZMAN1 on 2/18/2024 9:26:13 PM

Very hard to find used; for good reason. Mine has 300k miles and runs and drives like new. This series ('turtle' RAV) was the best. Incredible utility, plenty of power, AWD, and very high resale value. Best features: Easily configured interior with removable rear seats and a heavy duty roof rack make hauling almost anything a breeze. Drive train is smooth. 2 4 litre is known to burn oil after 100k (in every application) but not alot. Performance is brisk. Ride is firm, but handling is excellent. MPG is typical for AWD (better with premium or ethanol free). Reliability is top of the class.

        DURABLE SUV

        by ZMAN1 on 6/17/2023 5:04:10 AM

Mine has 296,000 hard miles on it and still runs great. If reliability is important to you Toyota vehicles are top of the class. AWD is a plus; but gas mileage is average because it's always engaged and doesn't have low/high range engagement. Power is adequate, but engine is kind of noisy especially when accelerating. Fully removable rear seats make the cargo compartment huge. Interior is comfortable when equipped with power seats and leather. Controls are logical and easy to use. A/C is ice cold even in lower settings. Overall a competent rugged vehicle with few surprises.
